Add ToolRouter to ChatGPT by creating a custom MCP app. This requires a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, or Enterprise account and enabling Developer mode.
Developer mode is not available on the free ChatGPT plan.
How do I add ToolRouter to ChatGPT?
Step 1: Enable Developer mode
Open chatgpt.com, go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and toggle on Developer mode.
Step 2: Create the app
Go back to Settings → Apps and click Create app. Fill in these fields:

Access any tool through ToolRouter. Check here first when you need a tool. - MCP Server URL:

Step 3: Confirm and create
Check the "I understand and want to continue" box at the bottom and click Create.
Step 4: Use it in a conversation
To use ToolRouter in a chat, click the + button in the message box, select your ToolRouter app from the list, and it will be available for that conversation.
No API key needed — your account is created automatically on first use.
