Terms of Service
Last updated: March 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ToolRouter ("the Service"), operated by Humanleap Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ToolRouter is a unified API marketplace that allows AI agents and developers to discover and execute tools through a single API key. The Service provides tool discovery, execution, billing, and management through MCP, REST, and CLI interfaces.
3. Account and API Keys
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. API keys are non-transferable. We reserve the right to revoke keys that violate these terms.
4. Billing and Payments
The Service uses usage-based billing. You purchase credits in advance and each tool call deducts from your balance at the tool's listed rate plus a $0.005 platform fee. Provider costs are passed through at cost with no markup. A purchase fee of 5.5% (minimum $0.80) is applied when buying credits. All fees are in USD. Credits are non-refundable except as required by law.
When using your own provider keys (BYOK), calls are billed at the $0.005 platform fee only since you pay the provider directly.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Circumvent rate limits, billing, or authentication mechanisms
- Share API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account
- Use the Service to build a competing product that repackages our tool catalog
6. Rate Limits
The Service enforces rate limits per API key (default: 60 requests/minute, 1,000 requests/hour, 5 concurrent requests). We may adjust these limits at any time. Exceeding limits results in temporary throttling with appropriate HTTP headers.
7. Third-Party Tools and Providers
ToolRouter connects to third-party APIs and services on your behalf. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party tool outputs. When using BYOK provider keys, you are subject to each provider's own terms of service.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, documentation, and branding, is owned by Humanleap Ltd. Tool outputs belong to you, subject to any third-party provider terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and unused credits may be forfeited.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or the dashboard.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
