Pick From Text finds emails, phone numbers, or money amounts in a document, then picks the one that answers your question.
The value it returns is an exact copy of something already in the text. It will not invent a new address or change a digit. You can also pass your own list of candidates. It only chooses among those, or none.
Use this when a thread or invoice has several lookalike values and you need the right one.
What you can do
- select the receipt email when several addresses sit in a thread
- select the mobile number versus a fax or switchboard
- select the invoice total versus tax, subtotal, or a credit
Who it's for
Anyone pulling a field from mail, invoices, or tickets that already contain several similar values.
How to use it
- Set kind to email, phone, or money, or pass candidates yourself
- Ask which one you want (receipt, mobile, total due)
- Copy
valueexactly and clean it up in code if needed
Getting started
Pass a thread that names a personal Gmail for the receipt. The pick should be that address, not the billing alias.
