AgentMail gives your AI agent its own real email address. The agent can create an inbox in one call, send email from it, read what comes back, and reply in the same thread โ no shared mailbox, no forwarding rules.
Use it when an agent needs to hold a conversation over email: chasing a supplier, booking a table, signing up for a service and reading the confirmation code, or running outreach where replies matter. Incoming messages come with the new text already separated from quoted history, so the agent reads only what the other person actually wrote.
What you can do
- create_inbox โ make a new address, optionally with a chosen username and display name
- list_inboxes โ see every inbox you have and its address
- send_email โ send a new email from one of your inboxes
- list_messages โ check an inbox for mail, filtered by sender, recipient, or subject
- get_message โ read one email in full, including its new text and attachments list
- reply โ answer a message in the same thread, optionally to everyone on it
Who it's for
Builders of agents that act in the world on someone's behalf and need a channel people already use. Teams automating email follow-ups, sign-up flows, or support triage without connecting a personal mailbox.
How to use it
- Call list_inboxes to reuse an existing address, or create_inbox to make one โ keep its inbox_id
- Call send_email with the inbox_id, recipients, subject, and a text or html body
- Later, call list_messages on that inbox to see replies, then get_message to read one โ use its extracted_text for just the new content
- Call reply with the inbox_id and message_id to answer in the same thread
Getting started
Connect your AgentMail account, then start with create_inbox to get an address and send from it. Replies can take minutes to arrive, so check list_messages again rather than waiting in one call.
