UK Company Lookup pulls the official register entry for a UK company from its company number: legal name, status, company type, incorporation date, registered office address, nature of business codes and the current directors and secretaries.
Use it to confirm a business is real and still trading before you sign a contract, offer payment terms or onboard a supplier. Recently resigned officers are listed too, so you can spot board changes.

How to use it
- Find the eight-character company number on an invoice, letterhead, website footer or contract (for example 09525857 or SC123456)
- Call company_profile with it as company_id
- Check the status: anything other than "active" (dissolved, liquidation, administration) deserves a closer look
- Read the active officers to see who currently runs the company
