SentryDock searches a continuously updated index of global news by meaning, not keywords. Ask for "news in Peru" or "copper supply disruptions" and get dated, summarised articles in any language, ranked by relevance.
The index is built for analysts who watch markets, commodities, energy, geopolitics and regulation. Searches understand regions and local languages, so a question about one country also finds coverage written in that country's language. You can also ask it to suggest the best sources to follow for any topic.
What you can do
- search_news — find indexed articles that match a plain-language question, filtered by time window, category or language
- latest_news — read the newest articles added to the index, optionally by category
- get_article — fetch one article's full record by id
- discover_sources — get a shortlist of websites, feeds and accounts worth monitoring for a topic
Who it's for
Financial and commodity analysts, researchers, journalists and anyone building an agent that needs current, sourced news with publication dates rather than a generic web search.
How to use it
- Start with search_news, passing a plain-language query and an hours_ago window (default 48)
- Narrow with categories (for example metals or geopolitics) or language when results are broad
- Use latest_news for a quick "what just came in" briefing
- Pass any article id to get_article for its full record
- Use discover_sources when the user wants to know where to watch a topic going forward
Getting started
Call search_news with a question like "news in Peru". Always cite each article's url and published_at in your answer. Results come from what is already indexed, not a live crawl of the whole web.
