Local Rank Tracker measures how an explicitly selected business appears in live Google Maps results from one place or across a bounded geographic grid. It gives local SEO agencies and multi-location operators reproducible rank evidence instead of a single city-wide guess.
Every observation carries its coordinates or named location, capture time, matched listing identity, and result-check URL when available. Missing listings stay missing; the tool never invents a rank or assumes that a similarly named business is the target.
What you can do
- resolve_listing β return candidate listings without silently choosing an ambiguous business
- check_local_rank β measure one keyword and named location
- scan_rank_grid β scan a safe 3Γ3 or 5Γ5 grid with per-pin and summary metrics
- local_competitors β inspect the businesses occupying the leading Maps positions
- compare_scans β compare caller-supplied snapshots without requiring stored history
Who it's for
Local SEO agencies, franchise teams, and business operators who need auditable rank checks, competitor evidence, and client-ready grid summaries.
How to use it
- Resolve the intended listing and select its place ID, exact title, or domain
- Check one keyword/location before spending on a grid
- Run a 3Γ3 grid, moving to 5Γ5 only when the added coverage is useful
- Compare equivalent snapshots captured with the same keyword and settings
Getting started
Connect your search-data account, call resolve_listing, and keep the returned listing identifier explicit in every scan. Results are non-personalized provider observations and may differ from an individual user's Maps experience.
