Kalshi gives you live, money-backed odds on real-world events: Fed decisions, inflation prints, elections, weather, sports, crypto prices and more. Prices are probabilities, so a contract trading at 0.83 means the market puts the outcome at roughly 83%.
It is a regulated US exchange, which makes its odds a useful second opinion next to polls, forecasts and analyst calls. Search by topic in plain words, open an event to see every outcome ranked by probability, inspect one market's order book, or chart how the odds have moved.
What you can do
- search_markets โ find events by topic and see the current odds for each outcome
- get_event โ every outcome of one event, ranked by probability, with bid, ask and volume
- get_market โ one market's prices, volume, open interest, rules and live order book
- price_history โ how a market's odds moved by minute, hour or day
Who it's for
Analysts and journalists who want market-implied odds, traders comparing markets, and anyone who wants a quick read on how likely an event is according to people with money on it.
How to use it
- Start with search_markets using plain words such as "fed rate", "cpi" or "bitcoin"
- Pass an event_ticker from the results to get_event to see all outcomes
- Pass a market ticker to get_market for the order book and resolution rules
- Use price_history on the same ticker to see how the odds changed
Getting started
Ask "what are the odds the Fed holds rates in [month]?" and start with search_markets. Odds are read-only; nothing is traded.
