Room Renovator

Visualize any room fully renovated from a single photo

Room Renovator transforms any room photo into a photorealistic renovation render. Upload a photo of a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, or exterior, choose a finish style, and get back a realistic image of the space fully renovated — same layout and perspective, completely new surfaces, materials, and furnishings.

This is the fastest way to visualize a renovation before committing to it. Homeowners use it to explore design directions. Agents use it to show buyers a property's potential. Designers use it to present concepts before detailed drawings.

What you can do

  • renovate — transform a room photo into a photorealistic render in the chosen renovation type and finish style

Who it's for

Homeowners planning a renovation and wanting to visualize the result, real estate agents showing buyers the potential of a fixer-upper, interior designers presenting concepts to clients before detailed work begins, and property developers marketing renovation projects.

How to use it

  1. Call renovate with the URL of a room or property photo.
  2. Set renovation_type to match the space: interior, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, outdoor, or commercial.
  3. Choose a finish_style: modern-luxury, scandinavian, industrial, rustic, minimalist, maximalist, coastal, or mid-century.
  4. Set aspect_ratio if you need a specific output format — 4:3 is the default for most interiors.

Getting started

What you can do with Room Renovator

Visualize an Outdated Kitchen Renovation

Upload a photo of your existing kitchen and see a photorealistic render of it renovated in a modern style before touching a single cabinet.

  1. Share your kitchen photo and describe the style you want — for example, 'contemporary with handleless matte grey cabinets, quartz worktops, and herringbone tile splashback'.
  2. Ask Claude to run `renovate` via the room-renovator tool.
  3. Review the render and ask Claude what is working and what could change.
  4. Request a variation — a lighter palette, a different worktop material, or a contrasting island.
  5. Save the winning render to share with your kitchen fitter as a brief.

See a Tired Bathroom Renovated Before You Commit

Upload a photo of your existing bathroom and get a photorealistic render showing how it would look renovated in a new style.

  1. Share your bathroom photo and describe the renovation direction — for example, 'spa-inspired with large format tiles, freestanding bath, and brushed gold fittings'.
  2. Ask Claude to run `renovate` via the room-renovator tool.
  3. Review the render and ask Claude which elements are working and which look forced in the space.
  4. Request a contrasting direction for comparison.
  5. Save the preferred render to use as a brief for your bathroom fitter.

Visualize a Pre-Sale Living Room Renovation

See how targeted renovation changes to your living room would look before investing in a pre-sale refresh.

  1. Share your living room photo, the property's market position, and your budget ceiling.
  2. Ask Claude to run `renovate` via room-renovator for a light-touch refresh first — paint, flooring, declutter.
  3. Review the render and ask Claude whether the change is enough to justify the asking price uplift.
  4. Request a second render with a more substantial renovation for comparison.
  5. Use Claude's analysis to decide which level of pre-sale work is worth commissioning.
