The current ToolRouter PetrolSpy client sends requests without a separate PetrolSpy API key. This describes the implemented client, not an official licensed API product or a guaranteed access agreement.

Check Fuel Prices for the applicable ToolRouter price. This page does not offer or grant a PetrolSpy data licence.

Evidence limits

  • The client caps the geographic request to a bounding box based on a radius of at most 25 km.
  • Reported data may include community updates; inspect each price timestamp and confirm before travelling.
  • PetrolSpy is used directly in some regions and as a fallback in others. Availability can change.
  • ToolRouter is not claiming endorsement, a formal partnership or unrestricted rights to redistribute PetrolSpy datasets.

Why did my fuel search return PetrolSpy?

ToolRouter uses PetrolSpy for some Australian regions and when a selected government source is unavailable. The result names the actual data source so you can distinguish it from FuelCheck, FuelWatch or Service Victoria.
