How to Compare Airline Routes with Copilot

Copilot compares flight routes within your IDE, checking both primary and alternative airports. Evaluate direct versus connecting options for upcoming trips, use find_airport to discover nearby airports you might have overlooked, and make routing decisions based on structured comparison data.

Connect ToolRouter to Copilot

1In your agent, go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool
2Choose Model Context Protocol and enter these details

3Set Authentication to None and click Create

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Flight Search tool:

  1. In Copilot Chat: "Compare flights from San Francisco to London -- all routing options"
  2. Copilot returns direct and connecting route options with pricing
  3. Ask: "Check alternative airports like Oakland and San Jose for cheaper options"
