Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Construction Manager tool:

  1. Provide the contractor details and the project they are being considered for.
  2. Run `verify_company` via construction-manager.
  3. Ask Copilot to update the project supplier register with the verification results.
  4. Flag any contractors that do not pass the check before they receive a contract.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Construction Manager tool
Use construction-manager to verify three contractors shortlisted for the M&E package on this development. Run company checks on all three and update the project procurement log with their verification status and any risk flags.

Tips

  • Run verification checks at shortlist stage, not after the contract has been awarded.
  • A procurement log with verification status per contractor gives you a clear audit trail.
  • Include accreditation checks relevant to the work package — M&E contractors need specific registrations that general company checks will not surface.
