Claude doesn't just find exercises — it explains why a specific movement is the right choice for your situation, how it differs from what you're already doing, and what cues to focus on to do it correctly. It connects exercise selection to training goals with the reasoning a good coach would give.

Example Prompt

Try this with Claude using the Workout Planner tool
Search for hip hinge exercises using workout-planner. I want variations that don't require a barbell. For each, explain what makes it unique and which training goal it's best suited to.

Tips

  • Ask Claude to find a progression when you've mastered the basic version of an exercise
  • Ask for regression alternatives if you can't yet perform an exercise with good form
  • Request form cues and common mistakes alongside the exercise description
