Claude manages subtitle creation as a multi-step workflow in your terminal. Extract the transcript, correct technical terminology through conversation, and generate subtitle files in multiple formats -- SRT, VTT, or plain text. Claude can also translate the subtitles into other languages as an additional step in the same session.

Connect ToolRouter to Claude

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Video Transcripts tool:

  1. Ask Claude: "Get the transcript from this YouTube video and format it as an SRT subtitle file"
  2. Claude extracts the transcript with timestamps and converts to SRT format
  3. Review the subtitles and ask Claude to fix any errors or improve formatting
  4. Use the cleaned subtitle file for your video platform
