Claude identifies thin content pages and helps you decide what to do with each one through an interactive review. Discuss whether thin pages should be expanded with more content, consolidated with related pages, or removed entirely. Claude can also generate content outlines for pages that deserve expansion.

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Site Crawler tool:

  1. Ask Claude: "Crawl mysite.com and find pages with fewer than 300 words of content"
  2. Claude lists thin pages with their word counts and content summaries
  3. Ask: "For each thin page, should I expand it, consolidate it, or remove it?"
  4. Claude recommends the best action based on each page context and purpose

Example Prompt

Try this with Claude using the Site Crawler tool
Crawl mysite.com and find all thin content pages. For each one, tell me whether to expand, merge, or noindex it.

Tips

  • Ask Claude to exclude pages that are intentionally minimal (like contact or login pages)
  • Claude can suggest content outlines for pages that should be expanded
  • Run after bulk content imports to catch stub pages that need fleshing out
