How to Check DNS Propagation with Claude
Check DNS propagation status with Claude and ToolRouter. Verify your DNS changes are live.
ToolDNS DomainClaude turns DNS investigation into a deep, conversational security review where each finding leads naturally to the next check. Ask Claude to look up your records, chain that into an SSL verification, cross-reference with email authentication settings, and explain the security implications of every configuration detail it finds. Its analytical reasoning makes it ideal for thorough domain audits where understanding the "why" behind each record matters as much as seeing the data.

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the DNS Domain tool:
- Ask Claude: "Check if the DNS changes for example.com have propagated -- it should now point to 203.0.113.50"
- Claude looks up the current records and compares against your expected values
- Repeat the check after some time if propagation is not yet complete
Example Prompt
Try this with Claude using the DNS Domain tool
I changed the A record for example.com to 203.0.113.50 an hour ago. Check if the change has propagated.
Tips
- Provide the expected values so Claude can confirm whether records match
- Check TTL values on the old records to estimate propagation time
- Ask Claude to check multiple record types if you changed more than one
