Copilot is the natural choice when the satellite image needs to be embedded in a document you are already working on. Capture the image and place it in the right section of the report without switching applications.

Connect ToolRouter to Copilot

1In your agent, go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool
2Choose Model Context Protocol and enter these details

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Satellite Imagery tool:

  1. Provide the site coordinates or address and the document to update.
  2. Run `capture_dated` or `earth_photo` via satellite-imagery.
  3. Ask Copilot to embed the image in the site context section of the document with a caption.
  4. Output the updated document.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Satellite Imagery tool
Use satellite-imagery to capture a current image of this planning application site and embed it in the site context section of the design and access statement with a caption noting the capture date and scale.

Tips

  • Include a north arrow and scale reference in the caption if the document is technical.
  • Embed the image at the point in the document where it is discussed, not in an appendix.
  • A captioned satellite image with date is a standard component of a design and access statement — having it ready when you need it saves time under deadline.
