Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Satellite Imagery tool:

  1. Provide the site address and the report or proposal it is for.
  2. Run `capture_dated` or `earth_photo` via satellite-imagery.
  3. Ask ChatGPT to write a site description based on the image for inclusion in the report.
  4. Package the image and description as the site context section.

Example Prompt

Try this with ChatGPT using the Satellite Imagery tool
Use satellite-imagery to capture a current image of this development site at the coordinates 52.5, -1.9 for an investor proposal. Write a 150-word site description covering location, access, surrounding uses, and site size based on what is visible.

Tips

  • Keep the written description factual and grounded in what is visible — planning and investor documents should not overstate site characteristics.
  • Pair the satellite image with a map extract showing regional context for investor documents.
  • A site description written from the satellite image ensures the text matches the visual rather than being prepared separately.
