Copilot is useful when the kitchen renovation is part of a larger project or property transaction. Generate the render and produce the supporting documentation — scope, budget estimate, contractor brief — alongside it.

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Room Renovator tool:

  1. Provide the kitchen photo and the project context — renovation scope, budget range, intended buyer if selling.
  2. Run `renovate` via room-renovator to generate the renovation render.
  3. Ask Copilot to produce a renovation scope document alongside the render.
  4. Output the render and documentation in a format ready for your project file or contractor brief.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Room Renovator tool
Use room-renovator to renovate this tired kitchen as part of a pre-sale refresh — keep costs moderate, update cabinets to a clean white shaker style with dark granite worktops. Return the render and write a renovation scope document with a rough budget estimate.

Tips

  • Frame the brief around the project goal — pre-sale, pre-rental, personal use — so the renovation scope matches the investment level.
  • Include a budget ceiling so the specification stays realistic.
  • A render plus a scope document gives a contractor everything needed to produce a meaningful quote.
