Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Room Renovator tool:

  1. Provide your kitchen photo and the style brief — cabinet type, worktop material, flooring, and any appliance preferences.
  2. Run `renovate` via room-renovator to generate the photorealistic renovation render.
  3. Ask ChatGPT to write a materials specification based on what is shown in the render.
  4. Have ChatGPT format the render and spec into a quote request you can send to multiple fitters.

Example Prompt

Try this with ChatGPT using the Room Renovator tool
Use room-renovator to renovate this tired kitchen into a Shaker-style design with cream cabinets, oak worktops, a Belfast sink, and terracotta floor tiles. Return the render and write a materials spec I can use to get quotes from three kitchen companies.

Tips

  • Include appliance preferences — built-in vs freestanding, brand tier — so the spec is complete for quoting.
  • Ask ChatGPT to include approximate quantities alongside materials so suppliers can price accurately.
  • Sending the same render and spec to multiple fitters ensures you are comparing like for like.
