Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Playlist Art Maker tool:

  1. Describe the track and the distribution platform requirements.
  2. Generate the cover with visualize_track at the required 3000x3000 JPEG specification.
  3. Confirm the file format and size meet the distributor's requirements.
  4. Name the file with the track title and prepare it for upload alongside the audio file.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Playlist Art Maker tool
Use playlist-art-maker to create cover art for my single 'Neon Fade' — synthwave, nostalgic 80s feel, neon pink and deep teal, abstract cityscape. 3000x3000 JPEG for DistroKid upload. Include the file size confirmation and confirm there is no text overlay in the image.

Tips

  • Most distributors require 3000x3000 JPEG — always use this as the default specification.
  • Distributors typically reject cover art with third-party logos or URLs — confirm the generated art is clear of any overlaid text that could trigger a rejection.
  • Upload the cover to Spotify for Artists to preview how it looks on the release page before making the distribution submission final.
