How to Get Surf Forecasts with ChatGPT

ToolOcean & TidesChatGPT turns wave forecast data into clear session plans and readable condition summaries. It is particularly good at explaining forecast terminology for less experienced surfers, comparing multiple surf spots in a region, and producing shareable session plans for groups.
Connect ToolRouter to ChatGPT
1Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable Developer mode

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Ocean & Tides tool:
- Ask: "Get a wave forecast for the north Devon coast for the next three days using ocean-data"
- ChatGPT returns a multi-day forecast
- Request: "Which day is best and what should I bring?"
- Follow up: "Compare these conditions to Croyde and Saunton beaches"

Tips
- Ask for a plain-English day rating (pumping / solid / fun / weak / flat) for quick scanning
- Request a comparison of morning vs afternoon conditions if wind patterns shift through the day
- Ask ChatGPT to note the best tide state for your specific break
