Use tidal statistics for coastal planning with ChatGPT and ToolRouter. Tide times and conditions for any location.
ToolOcean & TidesChatGPT presents tidal statistics in practical planning formats — tide tables for the day, recommended activity windows, and written summaries that are easy to share with a group. It is well suited to building trip itineraries that work around the tide rather than against it.

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Ocean & Tides tool:
- Ask: "Get tidal statistics for St Michael's Mount, Cornwall for this weekend using ocean-data"
- ChatGPT returns high and low water times and levels for each day
- Request: "Write a day trip itinerary that fits around the tidal windows"
- Follow up: "What time should we leave to guarantee crossing on foot?"
Example Prompt
Try this with ChatGPT using the Ocean & Tides tool
Get tidal statistics for St Michael's Mount for Saturday and Sunday. Write a day trip plan for each day that works around the tidal causeway access windows.
Tips
- Ask for crossing windows rather than just tide times — factor in the walk time too
- Request a printed tide table format if you'll be without internet on the day
- Plan around springs tides (biggest range) for the most dramatic low-water exposures
