  3. Ask: "Which nights this week are best for astrophotography?"
  4. Request: "When exactly will the full moon rise above the horizon on Friday?"

Example Prompt

Try this with Claude using the Night Sky tool
Get moon phase and sunrise/moonrise times for London for the next 14 days. Identify the three best nights for astrophotography based on darkness and moon position.

Tips

  • For astrophotography, look for nights where the moon rises after midnight — giving dark skies for the first half of the night
  • Ask about astronomical twilight end time — the point at which the sky is truly dark
  • Request percentage illumination rather than just phase name for precise brightness assessment
