Jewelry Visualizer

Identify an unknown jewelry piece by style, period, and hallmarks. Copilot is useful when identification feeds directly into a collection management system — documenting the piece and filing it with a structured record in the same session.

Connect ToolRouter to Copilot

1In your agent, go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool
2Choose Model Context Protocol and enter these details

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Jewelry Visualizer tool:

  1. Upload the piece photo and any available provenance information.
  2. Run `identify_piece` and `identify_hallmark` through `jewelry-visualizer` to generate the analysis.
  3. Ask Copilot to format the findings as a structured collection record with all identification fields populated.
  4. File the record with the piece photo in the collection database.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Jewelry Visualizer tool
Use jewelry-visualizer to identify this ring and read its hallmarks. Format the output as a collection record with fields for style period, metal content, hallmark interpretation, provenance notes, and identification confidence. I'll add this to our collection database.

Tips

  • Define the collection record format before running the identification so the output maps directly to database fields.
  • Ask Copilot to populate a 'further action' field — professional appraisal, cleaning, repair — to prioritise next steps.
  • Link the piece photo directly to the database record so the visual and written documentation stay together.
