How to Generate Progress Charts with Claude

Pass in your numbers, describe the insight you want to highlight, and iterate on chart type, color scheme, and layout within the same session. The conversational loop lets you try different visualization approaches -- swap a bar chart for a line graph, adjust the scale, add annotations -- until the chart tells exactly the right story for your audience without round-tripping through a separate design tool.
Connect ToolRouter to Claude

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Generate Chart tool:
- Ask Claude: "Create a progress chart showing we are at $2.4M of our $4M quarterly revenue goal"
- Claude generates a clear progress visualization showing current state versus target
- Ask: "Add a trend line showing the pace needed to hit the target by quarter end"

Tips
- Ask Claude to color-code by status: green for on-track, yellow for at-risk, red for behind
- Include a trend line or pace indicator to show if current velocity will hit the target
