Generate Progress and Goal Tracking Charts

Tracking progress toward goals is one of the most motivating and informative uses of data visualization. Whether it is a fundraising thermometer, an OKR completion chart, a project timeline, or a sales pipeline gauge, progress visualizations answer the most important question: are we on track?

Progress charts need to communicate both the current state and the relationship to the target at a glance. A revenue chart that shows you are at 67% of your quarterly goal with one month remaining tells a completely different story than one showing 67% with three months remaining. The visualization needs to make this context obvious without requiring the viewer to do math.
