Compliance Screening

OpenClaw automates enhanced due diligence for high-risk onboarding queues. Process a batch of PEP-risk customers, run consistent EDD across politically sensitive jurisdictions, or re-run due diligence on existing high-risk relationships at scheduled intervals — systematic compliance without individual manual investigation.

Connect ToolRouter to OpenClaw

1Install the CLI
npm install -g toolrouter-mcp
2Call tools directly from OpenClaw
toolrouter-mcp call web-search search --query "AI tools"
toolrouter-mcp tools

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Compliance Screening tool:

  1. Provide the list of high-risk subjects requiring EDD
  2. Ask: "Conduct enhanced due diligence on each subject and produce risk assessments"
  3. OpenClaw runs the full EDD workflow for each subject
  4. Ask: "Produce a summary table ranked by risk level for the compliance review queue"

Example Prompt

Try this with OpenClaw using the Compliance Screening tool
Conduct enhanced due diligence on these 10 new high-risk clients: [list]. For each, check PEP status, sanctions, and adverse media. Return risk ratings and flag anyone rated high-risk for immediate compliance review.

Tips

  • Define your PEP risk criteria explicitly at the start — head-of-state level versus broader political exposure requires different treatment
  • Run periodic EDD refresh on existing high-risk clients — schedule quarterly re-runs at minimum
  • Use the batch risk rating output to prioritise the compliance review queue by highest-risk cases first
