Compliance Screening

Claude conducts a multi-layer due diligence investigation and synthesises the findings into a coherent risk assessment. It runs PEP checks, surfaces adverse media, investigates related entities, and identifies inconsistencies between stated business purpose and discovered information — working as an analyst rather than just a data retrieval tool.

  4. Ask: "Identify any related entities or individuals that should be screened"

Example Prompt

Try this with Claude using the Compliance Screening tool
Conduct enhanced due diligence on [full name], a senior government official from Nigeria seeking to open a business account. Check PEP status, sanctions, adverse media coverage, and any connected entities. Produce a risk assessment with a recommended risk rating.

Tips

  • Provide the subject's role and jurisdiction explicitly — PEP status depends on political position and country
  • Ask Claude to rate the adverse media findings by severity rather than just listing them
  • Ask for a recommended risk rating and the evidence supporting it — it makes the due diligence output defensible
