Copilot is best when tattoo designs need to be organized in a client consultation document or portfolio reference — tattoo artists using AI for rapid client concept exploration benefit from having designs documented alongside client notes.

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Tattoo Designer tool:

  1. Enter the client's concept description and placement details.
  2. Generate the tattoo concept with design_tattoo.
  3. Document the concept in the client file with placement notes and the client's feedback.
  4. Use the concept as a reference for the custom drawing phase rather than a final design.

Example Prompt

Try this with Copilot using the Tattoo Designer tool
Use tattoo-designer to generate a concept for a client who wants a Japanese koi fish tattoo for their calf. Bold traditional Japanese style, red and black, medium detail. Add it to the client consultation notes with a comment on whether this design suits the calf placement anatomically.

Tips

  • Always clarify with clients that AI concepts are references for discussion, not final designs — the artist's custom drawing is the actual tattoo design.
  • Note client feedback on the generated concept in the file so the drawing phase starts from a clear brief.
  • Document which elements the client wants to keep versus change so nothing is lost between consultation and drawing.
