ChatGPT makes release scheduling safe by explaining holiday conflicts in terms of real operational risk. It checks your proposed dates, tells you which teams would be unavailable if something goes wrong, suggests the nearest safe deployment window, and can draft the schedule change communication for stakeholders.

Connect ToolRouter to ChatGPT

1Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable Developer mode

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Public Holidays tool:

  1. Ask: "Is December 26, 2026 a holiday in the UK?"
  2. ChatGPT checks and confirms the holiday status
  3. Request: "Show me all holidays in December 2026 for US and UK so I can find a safe release window"
  4. Pick a deployment date that avoids all flagged holidays

Example Prompt

Try this with ChatGPT using the Public Holidays tool
I need to ship a release in late December 2026. Show me all US and UK holidays that month and suggest the safest deployment window.

Tips

  • ChatGPT can suggest alternative dates when your preferred window conflicts with holidays
  • Ask for a risk assessment based on how many team members are in each country
  • Factor in the days around holidays when people often take vacation too
