Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Image Style Extractor tool:
- Share your five or six best-performing posts and describe what you think makes them visually successful.
- Run image-style-extractor with extract_style on each post.
- Ask Claude to identify the visual rules that unite them — what they all share — and synthesize a style description that can guide future content.
- Apply the extracted style prompt when generating new content and ask Claude to check whether new content matches the established aesthetic.
Example Prompt
Try this with Claude using the Image Style Extractor tool
Use image-style-extractor to analyze these 5 of my best Instagram posts. Extract the visual style from each. Then tell me: what are the 3-4 visual rules that make these posts look cohesive? Synthesize a style prompt I can use for all future posts so my feed has a consistent aesthetic.
Tips
- Analyze your best-performing posts rather than your favorites — the algorithm has already told you what your audience responds to.
- Ask Claude to write the style rules in plain language that a non-designer could follow — you want your whole team to apply them correctly.
- Test the extracted style on a post type you have not made before — if it still feels like your brand, the style is truly generalized.
