Use ChatGPT with Dupe Finder to find cheaper alternatives and produce a formatted buying comparison. ChatGPT is a strong fit when the research needs to become a shareable document — a comparison table, a gift guide alternative, or a budget buying recommendation to pass on to someone else.
Connect ToolRouter to ChatGPT

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Dupe Finder tool:
- Describe the product and the budget you are working with.
- Ask ChatGPT to use `dupe-finder` with `find_dupe` to search for alternatives.
- Have ChatGPT produce a comparison table with price, key specs, and trade-offs for each alternative.
- Ask for a recommendation with a one-line justification for the best pick at your budget.

Tips
- Include a recommendation with justification in the output so whoever reads the comparison has a clear starting point.
- Add a 'trade-offs' column rather than just specs — it tells you what you're actually giving up.
- Specify the use case (e.g., oven-safe, dishwasher-safe) so alternatives that don't meet it are filtered out upfront.
