Diagram Generator

Claude builds network diagrams through an infrastructure conversation. Describe your network segments and devices, get an initial diagram, then add security boundaries, IP ranges, and redundancy paths through follow-ups. The iterative approach captures the layered complexity that real network architectures have.

Connect ToolRouter to Claude

1Go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
2Enter the details below and click Add

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Diagram Generator tool:

  1. Ask Claude: "Create a network topology diagram using diagram-generator" and describe the infrastructure
  2. Claude generates the diagram showing devices, subnets, and connections
  3. Download the diagram for your infrastructure documentation

Example Prompt

Try this with Claude using the Diagram Generator tool
Create a network topology diagram: internet connects to a firewall, behind it is a DMZ with a web server and load balancer, then an internal firewall leading to the application subnet with 3 app servers and a database subnet with a primary and replica database.

Tips

  • Group devices by subnet or security zone for the clearest layout
  • Ask Claude to add IP ranges and VLAN tags to the diagram for operational use
