Chemistry Lookup

OpenClaw processes safety data requests for entire chemical inventories in a single batch run, making it suitable for building COSHH registers, regulatory compliance databases, and laboratory safety systems that need current hazard information for every compound on-site.

Connect ToolRouter to OpenClaw

1Install the CLI
npm install -g toolrouter-mcp
2Call tools directly from OpenClaw
toolrouter-mcp call web-search search --query "AI tools"
toolrouter-mcp tools

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Chemistry Lookup tool:

  1. Run: "Get safety data for all compounds in our inventory [list] using chemistry-lookup"
  2. OpenClaw returns safety data for the complete list
  3. Load into your chemical inventory or LIMS system
  4. Refresh annually or when the inventory changes

Example Prompt

Try this with OpenClaw using the Chemistry Lookup tool
Retrieve safety data for 20 common laboratory chemicals using chemistry-lookup. Return as JSON with compound name, CAS number, signal word, and hazard/precautionary statement codes.

Tips

  • Process your entire chemical inventory in one batch to build a complete safety register
  • Flag all compounds with Danger signal words for priority review in safety audits
  • Refresh safety data annually to capture any classification updates from regulatory bodies
