Claude handles geocoding as part of a broader location research conversation. Convert an address to coordinates, then verify the match, explore nearby landmarks, and batch-process additional addresses in the same session. The iterative approach catches geocoding errors that automated batch processing would miss.

Connect ToolRouter to Claude

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Address Geocoding tool:

  1. Ask Claude: "Geocode this address using address-geocoding" and provide the address
  2. Claude returns the latitude, longitude, and standardized address components
  3. Use the coordinates in your mapping or spatial analysis workflow

Tips

  • Include city and country in the address for the most accurate results
  • Ask Claude to geocode a list of addresses in one session for batch processing
