How to Visualize a Script Before Shooting with Copilot
Visualize a Script Before Shooting with Copilot and ToolRouter. Convert a script into a visual storyboard with consistent character framing so every shot is planned before the camera rolls.
ToolStoryboard GeneratorShare the script and production details and Copilot will generate the storyboard with workspace-integrated pre-production documentation. This fits when the storyboard is part of a tracked production project with deadlines and team review stages.
Connect ToolRouter to Copilot

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Storyboard Generator tool:
- Share the script, visual style brief, and workspace project management format.
- Run `storyboard-generator` with `generate` to produce the storyboard.
- Ask Copilot to add a pre-production entry: project name, script pages covered, panel count, storyboard URL, and review status.
- Add the entry to your production project workspace.
Example Prompt
Try this with Copilot using the Storyboard Generator tool
Use storyboard-generator to create a storyboard for this commercial script. Then add a pre-production entry: Project Name, Script Pages: 1-5, Panel Count, Storyboard URL, Review Status: Director Review Pending.
Tips
- Mark storyboard review status as pending until the director has signed off — crew should not receive an unreviewed storyboard.
- Track panel count in the project entry so the AD can estimate review time accurately.
- Ask Copilot to set a review deadline in the entry — storyboard approval is often the bottleneck before shoot scheduling.
