How to Discover Hidden Gems with Claude
Find hidden gem movies from a cult classic with Claude and ToolRouter using Similar Movies.

Claude is a good fit when you want the shortlist interpreted for depth — which picks feel genuinely underrated versus which ones are just less famous. Run `find_similar`, then ask Claude to identify the most overlooked film in the result.

Steps
Once connected (see setup above), use the Similar Movies tool:
- Choose a cult classic as the seed and set a quality floor with `min_vote_average`.
- Run `similar-movies.find_similar` and inspect the shortlist beyond the first two results.
- Ask Claude to identify which picks are most likely to be overlooked by a general audience.
- Save the hidden-gem picks separately from the more obvious recommendations.

Tips
- Set a minimum vote average to filter noise without excluding genuinely niche picks.
- Ask Claude to distinguish between obscure and underrated after the shortlist is returned.
- Use `page: 2` to go deeper if the first page is too mainstream.
