Investor Finder

ChatGPT produces a formatted investor outreach list ready for a CRM or spreadsheet. Build the list by stage and sector, then ask ChatGPT to format it with columns for firm, focus, typical check size, and a notes field. The structured output replaces hours of manual Crunchbase research.

Steps

Once connected (see setup above), use the Investor Finder tool:

  1. Define your stage, sector, and geography
  2. Ask: "Use investor-finder to find VCs and angels investing in fintech at seed stage in the UK"
  3. ChatGPT returns a matching investor list
  4. Request: "Format this as a CRM-ready table with firm, focus, typical check, website, and a notes column"

Example Prompt

Try this with ChatGPT using the Investor Finder tool
Use investor-finder to find investors for a pre-seed healthtech startup in the US raising $1M. Focus on angels and micro-VCs active in digital health and medtech. Format the results as a table with investor name, type (angel/VC), focus area, typical check size, and website.

Tips

  • Ask for a table format so you can paste directly into a fundraising CRM or spreadsheet
  • Request a split between institutional VCs and angels so you can run parallel outreach tracks
  • Ask ChatGPT to add a "notes" column so you can annotate each contact with introduction source or outreach status
