Crime Stats

ChatGPT organises stop-and-search records into structured summaries and written analyses, making complex policing datasets accessible for reports, briefings, and presentations. It handles the prose layer that transforms raw counts into coherent findings suitable for non-specialist audiences.

Example Prompt

Try this with ChatGPT using the Crime Stats tool

Tips

  • Ask for a breakdown by legislation type (Section 1, Section 60, etc.) to understand powers used
  • Request month-by-month totals to spot operational changes over time
  • Ask ChatGPT to explain what each legislative power allows to add context for non-specialist readers
