Claude can query multiple time periods, stack the results, and surface the trends that matter — identifying which crime categories are growing fastest, calculating percentage changes, and spotting seasonal patterns that repeat year on year. It turns a sequence of monthly snapshots into a coherent narrative about how a place is changing.

Get crime statistics for the area around SW7 2AZ for each quarter of 2023. Identify the three biggest changes between Q1 and Q4 and explain what might account for them.

Tips

  • Compare the same months across different years to separate seasonal patterns from genuine trends
  • Ask Claude to calculate percentage change rather than just raw count differences
  • Combine with local news context to explain spikes — Claude can reason about possible causes
