# Connect to Claude

Add ToolRouter as a connector in any Claude app. Set up once and it works on Claude chat (web), the desktop app, and your phone.

## How do I add ToolRouter to Claude?

Open any Claude app and go to **Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector**. Enter these two fields:

- **Name:** `ToolRouter`
- **URL:** `https://api.toolrouter.com/mcp`

Click **Add**. The connector appears automatically across all your devices.

To use it in a conversation, click the **+** button in the chat box, find **Connectors**, and toggle ToolRouter on.

No API key needed — your account is created automatically on first use. Free tools work immediately.

Note: Free Claude accounts support one custom connector. If you already have one, you may need to remove it first or upgrade your plan.

## What can Claude do with ToolRouter?

Once turned on in a conversation, Claude can discover and use any tool in the catalog. Ask Claude to:

- Analyze a website's SEO
- Take a full-page screenshot
- Search the web for current information
- Generate images with 50+ AI models
- Look up domain information
- Check the weather

Claude will find and call the right tool automatically. There are 157+ tools with 823 skills across 12 categories.

## How do I add credits for paid tools?

Many tools are free. For paid tools, visit [toolrouter.com/sign-up](https://toolrouter.com/sign-up) to claim your account and add credits. Credits are prepaid with no subscriptions or monthly fees.
